PATRICK PITET Chief Legal Officer
A native of Wyoming, Mr. Pitet has over 25 years experience as legal counsel serving the oil and gas industries. Patrick joined a small firm in Montana upon graduation from the Cumberland School of Law in 1975, and in 1980, was hired by Marathon Oil Company where he subsequently represented the company's legal interests in several states.

During his 20 years at Marathon, Patrick gained broad experience in oil and gas exploration and production, as well as downstream operations. Among his various career assignments, Mr. Pitet served as Senior Counsel for the Refining Supply and Transportation Division, and as Rocky Mountain Region Counsel in Cody, Wyoming. In these roles, he provided legal support for Marathon's exploration and production operations, foreign crude oil purchases, the oil refining division of Marathon and the general operations of two refineries. Patrick also served as legal counsel for Marathon Pipeline Company and Corporate Secretary of the Platte Pipe Line Company, overseeing various legal and regulatory issues relating to the transportation of oil and products by pipeline.

Mr. Pitet was most recently Director of Minerals Energy and Transportation for the Wyoming Business Council, an agency of the State of Wyoming. In that capacity, he was the lead staff person of the Wyoming Energy Commission, responsible for developing a state energy policy. Patrick also worked closely with the Executive Branch of state government, serving as an energy policy advisor to former Governor Jim Geringer.
