Gary Alexander is the past Executive Director of SEC/N (Surplus Equipment Consortium/Network, Inc.) which he founded in 1998. SEC/N was the global trade association of the semiconductor and electronics industry for secondary market equipment and related services. SEC/N was acquired by SEMI in October, 2008. Mr. Alexander is also the owner of AMC Intl., LLC which independently provides management and consulting services with organizations from all industries, as well as government agencies around the world. He is a participant in U.S Department of Commerce / World Trade Organization (WTO) and ANSI-ISO task forces focused on developing trade opportunities and standards for the global secondary market. In addition, he is a member of the Editorial Panel of "FEO Magazine."
Prior to founding SEC/N, Gary Alexander was employed by Motorola’s Semiconductor Products Sector (SPS). Mr. Alexander took early retirement from Motorola in 1998, after twenty-four years of service. While at Motorola, he held management positions of business planning for SPS international final manufacturing and capital equipment sourcing operations. It was during his seven years in capital sourcing that Mr. Alexander setup the SPS used equipment program and represented SPS on the SEMATECH Surplus Equipment Council.
Gary Alexander is originally from Dayton, Ohio but has resided in Phoenix, Arizona since 1973. He received a Bachelors of Science degree in the field of Industrial Management from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, USA. Upon graduation, Mr. Alexander served as an Officer in the U.S. Air Force, followed by positions as a Production Manager for both Frito Lay and Redman Industries. He and his wife reside in Mesa, Arizona where he enjoys hiking, rafting in the Grand Canyon, playing drums and visits with his grandchildren.
